According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Reds have signed third baseman Todd Frazier to a two-year, $12 million contract. It covers Frazier’s first two years of arbitration-eligibility. He’ll have one more year of salary arbitration after that and can then become a free agent heading into the 2018 season.

Frazier had a terrific 2014 campaign for Cincinnati, batting .273/.336/.459 with 29 home runs, 80 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. He finished tied with Josh Donaldson for the most homers by any major league third basemen.

Frazier, a supplemental first-round pick of the Reds in 2007, turns 29 years old later this week.
