Twins sign Wil Ledezma to a minor league deal


Citing the International League transactions page, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press notes that the Twins have signed pitcher Wil Ledezma to a minor league deal.

Ledezma, 33, hasn’t appeared in the major leagues since the 2011 season when he was with the Blue Jays. He spent the 2014 season pitching for Leones de Yucatan in the Mexican League. The lefty posted a 1.91 ERA with a 29/9 K/BB ratio in 28 1/3 innings.

Ledezma caught the Twins’ eye with a solid showing in the Venezuelan Winter League. He compiled a 2.89 ERA with a 17/6 K/BB ratio in 18 2/3 innings for the¬†Tigres de Aragua.
