The Marlins and Yankees are the other teams that have been linked to Headley this offseason. Despite a down couple of seasons — he’s hit just .246/.338/.387 with 26 homers and 99 RBI in 1,131 plate appearances since the beginning of the 2013 campaign — the 30-year-old is thought to be looking for a five-year contract.
