White Sox among teams interested in Melky Cabrera

Add the White Sox to the mix of teams showing interest in free agent outfielder Melky Cabrera, writes Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. The Mariners and Orioles are also reportedly showing interest.

The Blue Jays, after signing catcher Russell Martin to a five-year, $82 million contract, are likely out of the running for Cabrera’s services.

Cabrera, 30, performed well for the Jays this past season, hitting .301/.351/.458 with 16 home runs and 73 RBI.
