Jose Fernandez not expected to return until June or July

Marlins pitching phenom Jose Fernandez won’t return until June or July, Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill said in an interview on MLB Network Radio, per Jim Bowden.

Fernandez underwent Tommy John surgery in May. He started throwing again at the beginning of October, and his first two sessions went well, according to reports. Prior to the injury, Fernandez was in the midst of what appeared to be another great season, posting a 2.44 ERA with a 70/13 K/BB ratio in 51 2/3 innings.
