CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman reports that free agent outfielder Alex Rios has hired Scott Boras as his agent.
Rios became a free agent for the first time in his career yesterday after the Rangers declined his $13.5 million club option for 2015. He was previously represented by the Kinzer Management Group.
Rios turns 34 in February and batted .280 with just four home runs and a .709 OPS across 131 games this past season. Boras will attempt to find him a starting job and a place to reestablish his value.
