The Diamondbacks announced this evening that they have exercised club options on right-hander Daniel Hudson and left-hander Matt Reynolds for 2015.
According to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, Hudson will be guaranteed $800,000 in 2015 and could make another $300,000 based on days spent on the active roster. After going through two Tommy John surgeries, the 27-year-old pitched in the majors last month for the first time since June of 2012. He’s likely to be used in a relief role next year.
Reynolds had Tommy John surgery in September of 2013 and was in rehab mode this season. The 30-year-old owns a 3.58 ERA over 195 relief appearances in the majors. Piecoro notes that he’ll make $600,000 in 2015.
