RHP Dan Haren underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left non-throwing shoulder this morning. Expected to be back to start Spring Training.

It was a fairly minor procedure that only took around 30 minutes. Haren reached 180 innings in 2014, vesting a $10 million player option for 2015. He hasn’t yet exercised that option, but the expectation is that he will. The soft-tossing 34-year-old right-hander had a 4.02 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 145/36 K/BB ratio in 32 starts this season for the National League West champions. He registered a 2.09 ERA over his final seven outings.
