Royals tie ALCS Game 3 in bottom of the fourth

Game 3 of the ALCS is tied 1-1 after five innings.

The Royals got to O’s starter Wei-Yin Chen in the bottom of the fourth when Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer both singled, Billy Butler drew a walk, and then Alex Gordon hit into a bases-loaded groundout to second base, driving Cain home. The Royals still had two runners in scoring position at that point, but Chen retired Salvador Perez on a first-pitch infield pop-out to finish off the remaining Royals threat.

Jeremy Guthrie is at 94 pitches through five innings, so he’s probably done soon. Chen has only thrown 71 pitches through five.
