Giants’ NLCS rotation: Bumgarner, Peavy, Hudson

During an interview with MLB Network Radio today Giants assistant general manager Bobby Evans revealed that Madison Bumgarner will start Game 1 of the NLCS against the Cardinals.

No surprise, obviously, as Bumgarner started the Wild Card Game for the Giants and then started Game 3 of the NLDS versus the Nationals. His throwing error cost the Giants in Game 3, but his actual pitching has been brilliant this postseason and Bumgarner has a 2.96 ERA in 52 career playoff innings. Oh, and he’s also done a great job chugging celebratory beers.

Jake Peavy is expected to start Game 2 and Tim Hudson figures to get the nod for Game 3.
