Bryce Harper slugs game-tying bomb into McCovey Cove

NLDS Game 4 between the Nationals and Giants is tied at 2-2 heading into the top of the eighth inning.

Bryce Harper just launched a Hunter Strickland pitch high and deep into the San Francisco night with one out and nobody on in the top of the seventh — a game-tying splash shot that landed in McCovey Cove. MLB.com has the video. Harper also went yard off Strickland in Game 1 and has now homered three times in this best-of-five Division Series.

Cool stat here from ESPN’s Stats & Info feed …

Bryce stared Strickland down as he rounded the bases and was yelling at him across the field, so that’s something to keep in mind if this series moves to a Game 5. The Giants can close it out with a win Tuesday.
