Both the Rangers and Twins will interview Torey Lovullo for their manager openings

Red Sox bench coach has been a candidate for a few top jobs over the past couple of years — most recently the Cubs last offseason — and now he’s a candidate for two separate openings: the Rangers and the Twins.

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Red Sox have granted the Twins permission to interview Luvollo. Meanwhile, Jason Mastrodonato reports that Lovullo will interview for the Rangers manager job today.

The Rangers have a bunch of candidates, including Indians bullpen coach Kevin Cash, former White Sox coach Alex Cora and White Sox third base coach Joe McEwing, interim manager Tim Bogar, Triple-A manager Steve Buechele and pitching coach Mike Maddux. The Twins, meanwhile, are looking at Chip Hale, Paul Molitor, Doug Mientkiewicz, and John Russell, with Molitor favored.
