Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton has been limited to just one game since September 4 due to right shoulder, chest, and rib cage injuries, but he’s still hopes to be ready for the upcoming division series.
According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, the Angels announced that Hamilton hit on the field, threw long toss, and ran the bases today and that “everything went well.” He’s slated to go through the same workout tomorrow. The Angels will host either the Athletics or Royals on Thursday, so he’s running out of time to prove his health.
Hamilton, 33, batted .263/.331/.414 with 10 home runs and 44 RBI over 89 games during the regular season. He missed nearly two months during the first half with a torn ligament in his left thumb.
