Matt Holliday in Cardinals’ lineup Sunday after leaving Saturday’s game with flu symptoms

A flu bug has been going around the Cardinals’ clubhouse for the past couple of weeks and it took ahold of Matt Holliday on Saturday night in Arizona, but he is back in the starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s series finale versus the Diamondbacks.

This could be an important game for the Cardinals, who will need a win to capture the National League Central title if the Pirates beat the Reds and Johnny Cueto in an early game at Great American Ball Park.

Holliday is batting .281/.367/.515 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI in 63 games since the All-Star break.

St. Louis will start ace right-hander Adam Wainwright, who is looking to go 6-0 in September.
