Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register spoke to the slugger on Wednesday …
#Angels Josh Hamilton said he doesn’t expect to play this weekend but is confident he’ll be ready for playoffs.

Hamilton has been bothered by shooting pain in his chest and right rib cage for most of this month and he also has a shoulder injury that dates back even further. The 33-year-old outfielder acknowledged to Fletcher on Saturday that he’s been given 12 cortisone shots over the past two weeks, which is just a shocking amount.
Hamilton has been a big disappointment in the first two years of his five-year, $125 million deal with the Angels, batting .255/.316/.426 in 240 games. Maybe he can make up for it with some postseason heroics.
