Jonathan Papelbon has been activated from his seven-game crotch-grabbing suspension. And he has his old job back, as Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg told reporters that he will use Papelbon if a save situation arises. So good for him.
Papelbon has finished 50 games this year. If he finishes 100 between this year and next year, his option for 2016 kicks in to the tune of $13 million. So you probably gotta figure Papelbon is rooting for some save situations.
