Evan Gattis, out with strep throat, also diagnosed with kidney stones

Braves catcher Evan Gattis has been out since September 7 with strep throat and now the team announced that he’s also been diagnosed with kidney stones.

As someone who recently had a really bad case of strep throat and has heard a few friends tell stories of how awful kidney stones are, I can’t imagine many combos that could be worse.

The good news–if there is any, I guess–is that the Braves are now hoping Gattis can rejoin the lineup in a few days and finish the season on a positive note.

Poor guy.
