Bryce Harper exits game after feeling lightheaded

According to Mark Zuckerman of, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left tonight’s game against the Braves after “feeling lightheaded.”

Harper struck out in his lone at-bat in the top of the second inning before Nate Schierholtz replaced him as a pinch-hitter in the fourth inning. There was no obvious sign of what brought on his lightheadedness.

Harper really struggled after returning from thumb surgery, but he came into tonight’s action batting .297/.351/.522 with 10 home runs over his last 37 games.
