Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper hit a Zack Wheeler fastball very hard in the second inning of tonight’s game against the Mets. Wheeler pumped a 3-2 fastball to Harper, who sent the ball about a million feet* up into the air, sending into the upper deck in right field at Citi Field. The blast gave the Nats a 2-0 lead at the time.
My recount of the event doesn’t quite do it justice. Here is video of the violent swing followed by the majestic flight path of the baseball:

Harper now has 13 home runs and 32 RBI in what has been a subpar year compared to the standards the 21-year-old has already set for himself. For most other players, a .271/.343/.433 slash line is A-okay.
