Mike Fiers fined, Anthony DeSclafani suspended following Giancarlo Stanton beaning

Brewers right-hander Mike Fiers, who threw the pitch that hit Giancarlo Stanton in the face last night, has been fined an undisclosed amount by MLB for “actions which contributed to the benches clearing.”

Marlins right-hander Anthony DeSclafani, who plunked Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez in the arm after a warning was issued to both teams, has been suspended three games and fined an undisclosed amount “for intentionally throwing a pitch at” Gomez.

DeSclafani has appealed his suspension, so he’ll be available out of the Marlins’ bullpen in the meantime.
