More shoulder problems for David Wright

Just last week David Wright was saying his season-long shoulder problems finally felt improved and he had a few good games in a row, but now the Mets third baseman is again out of the lineup for tonight’s game.

Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports that Wright will be examined by team doctors and at some point you’ve got to wonder if the Mets will simply decide to shut him down for the final few weeks of the season.

Obviously it’d be great if he could get healthy and finish an otherwise awful season on a positive note, but it’s just not happening.
