Blue Jays give Derek Jeter a trip to Canadian Rockies

Derek Jeter’s retirement tour continued Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre in Toronto, where the Blue Jays presented him a $10,000 check for his Turn 2 Foundation and this really cool trip

Some other gifts Jeter has received: a set of Tiger Stadium seats and three paintings from the Tigers, cowboy boots and a photo with George W. Bush from the Rangers, a LEGO mosaic and guitar from the Indians, a bottle of wine and Napa Valley vacation from the A’s, a Kingdome seat and a gold Shawn Carter watch from the Mariners, a piece of art made out of New York Subway tiles from the Mets, a personalized standup paddleboard from the Angels, and golf clubs, pinstriped boots, and a cowboy hat from the Astros.

You don’t see this every day …

Twins second baseman Brian Dozier hit a blast to dead-center field in the first inning of Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Tigers and it neither cleared the fence, nor banged off the fence, nor dropped in front of it.

Instead, the ball found a comfortable home inside the wall …

This isn’t the first wall-sticker for Dozier. He put a ball in the bullpen fence in Washington during an exhibition game against the Nationals back in 2016.
