Lyles broke the middle finger on his non-throwing hand in a home-plate collision with Martin Prado, then of the Diamondbacks, on June 4 at Coors Field. He will return to the Rockies’ starting rotation on Wednesday night against the Cubs. The 23-year-old righty had a promising 3.52 ERA in his first 12 starts this season.
