Journeyman infielder Ronny Cedeno has agreed to a minor-league contract with the Phillies, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com.

Cedeno split last season between the Astros and Padres, hitting .242 with three homers and a .617 OPS in 89 games for a disappointing follow-up to a very solid 2012 season with the Mets.

At age 31 he’ll compete for a bench gig behind middle infield starters Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley.
