ESPN 1500 is reporting that free agent starter Matt Garza would be open to rejoining the Twins. According to the report, the Twins and Garza’s representatives from Creative Arts Agency met during the GM meetings in Orlando, though no official offer has been made yet. Garza was originally taken in the first round of the 2005 draft by the Twins and spent his first two seasons in the Majors, in 2006-07, with them before being sent to the then-Devil Rays.
Garza started the 2013 season with the Cubs, then went to the Rangers in a trade involving prospect Mike Olt on July 22. Overall, the 29-year-old finished with a 3.82 ERA in 155.1 innings over 24 starts.
