Cardinals and Red Sox scoreless through three innings in Game 2 of World Series

After the Red Sox dominated the Cardinals in Game 1 of the World Series last night, we’re scoreless through three innings in Game 2 tonight.

John Lackey, who tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings against the Tigers during the ALCS, is cruising once again. He has held the Cardinals to a pair of singles while striking out four and walking none. As for rookie sensation Michael Wacha, he has picked up from where he left off in the NLCS by striking out four batters and walking none. He didn’t allow his first hit until a broken-bat single by Jacoby Ellsbury with two outs in the bottom of the third.

Game 2 has a decidedly different feel as we move to the fourth inning at Fenway Park in Boston.
