Loads of baseball players are passed through waivers every August and we only wind up with a handful of acutal waiver trades, but here’s the word anyway from FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal:
Cleared waivers, can be traded to any team: #Nationals’ Haren, #Astros’ Bedard, #WhiteSox’s Lindstrom, #Cubs’ Guerrier, #Mariners’ Ryan. 1/2

All five of those guys are impending free agents, which makes it likely that they’re at least shopped around. Dan Haren has been good in three straight outings and could draw interest from contending teams in need of starting pitching. Erik Bedard can eat innings, Matt Lindstrom is a decent reliever and Brendan Ryan is a very good defensive shortstop. Matt Guerrier has a torn tendon in his forearm and is done for the season.
