The Feds are now looking at Biogenesis

From the Miami Herald:

A federal criminal probe is under way into whether the owner of a South Florida anti-aging clinic illegally sold controlled substances to high schoolers in addition to major league ballplayers and other professional athletes, the Miami Herald has learned.

This after Porter Fischer, the former Biogenesis employee, gave interviews in which he said it wasn’t just baseball players who patronized the clinic.

Back in the BALCO days the feds decided to go after the athletes with way gusto, hauling them in front of grand juries and then pursuing perjury cases. I guess this will be a good test to see if our federal government has learned anything from that experience of if, rather, they still think going after users harder than dealers is a good policy.
