Brett Lawrie has a bit of a checkered Twitter history. He’s a Twitter drama queen and goes after “haters” and all that stuff that you’d think a highly-paid professional athlete would and should be above. But he’s a kid, really, and kids do silly stuff on social media all the time.
And it appears to run in the family. This from his sister, Danielle Lawrie, who herself is an olympic softball player, after brother Brett was ejected during Friday night’s Jays-Orioles game for throwing his helmet:
The umps these days in @mlb can suck it… Some of the worst calls I have ever seen have been this 2013 season #callthegamerightdouches

To everyone out there, I’m not saying what my brother did was RIGHT at all, I’m saying these umps are horrific and are not held accountable

My compliments on the use of the past tense in that last one. And for ignoring the fact that Lawrie has a much more checkered history with throwing helmets than he does with Twitter.
