Second time around for major shoulder surgery for one of the best pitchers I’ve ever seen:
Johan Santana underwent successful surgery this morning at HSS to repair a tear in the capsule in the front of his left shoulder.

“Successful” is good, of course. But I sort of feel like we’ve seen him pitch his last. I hope not, but given how long and hard his recovery was the last time he had this surgery, I have a bad feeling about it.
