Aramis Ramirez sits out fifth straight game with quad strain

Aramis Ramirez went through pregame drills today in the hopes of returning to the Brewers’ lineup, but instead he’ll sit out a fifth consecutive game with a strained quadriceps muscle.

Cody Ransom is starting at third base in Ramirez’s absence and manager Ron Roenicke has juggled the batting order to get Corey Hart into the cleanup spot behind Ryan Braun.

The injury is rough timing for Ramirez, who’d bounced back from an awful start to the season to hit .290 with three homers, 10 doubles, and an .885 OPS in his last 25 games.
