Anti-Frank McCourt letters removed from Dodgers bankruptcy case file

I saw this the other day but didn’t comment on it because I figured it would be reversed, but apparently the clerk of the bankruptcy court considering the Dodgers’ case had accepted a handful of fan letters into the official case file. They were anti-Frank McCourt letters, essentially saying “we want our team back, please get rid of Frank.”

Today the judge did the right thing and struck them from the case file, noting that, however passionate fans are about all of this, such sentiment really doesn’t have any place in the official file for this case.

In other words, he used the same rationale that he used yesterday when he struck down McCourt’s motion to have the case expand into some giant attack on Major League Baseball for treating him poorly.
