Totally buried the lede here. The real news nugget: Hank Steinbrenner actually works:
The Boss’ old office at Steinbrenner Field is being used, again. The Steinbrenner family, as part of a renovation project at the Yankees’ spring training stadium, decided that team co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner will use the office of his late father, George Steinbrenner. Hank Steinbrenner said on Tuesday that “It’s a great honor” to move into the office his father had worked out of since the mid-1990’s.
I really don’t like the idea of Hank having an office. I preferred to picture him sort of bopping around the office, leaning on ledges above secretarial stations, squatting at other people’s desks to make phone calls, using the copier for personal projects and then finally sitting in the break room, eating some impossibly complicated carryout dish and sort of hoping to lasso someone into a conversation about TV.
Then, at about 12:47, he loudly proclaims “another day, another dollar” and leaves the office. At which point everyone sighs with relief and actually gets some work done.
