Dmitri Young arrested for marijuana possession

Former big leaguer Dmitri Young was arrested early yesterday morning in Illinois and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Young, who last played in the majors in 2008 and is currently a bench coach for the Oakland County Cruisers of the independent Frontier League, was released on a $100 bond.
It sounds like run-of-the-mill pot possession, which would hardly be newsworthy if not for Young having a history of alcohol and substance abuse that hastened the end of his career and led to various off-field problems.
His younger brother, Delmon Young, is in the midst of the best season of his career in Minnesota.
