Huston Street suffered a bit of a setback in a minor league rehab appearance with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday night. Aside from allowing three runs on four hits over two-thirds of an inning, Street was throwing with decreased velocity, according to Jim Armstrong of the Denver Post.
Street, whose return was already delayed by a strained right groin last month, was expected to return to Colorado on Saturday in order to be re-evaluated, but he may now need more time in the minor leagues before being activated from the disabled list.
This latest development is somewhat troublesome because Street had recently said that he was past his shoulder problems. Hopefully it’s just something mechanical, but that might not be the case.
