Bad news out of Tigers camp this afternoon. According to Jason Beck of MLB.com, left-handed reliever Bobby Seay (shoulder) experienced a setback Saturday while throwing a bullpen session and is scheduled to undergo an MRI. He’s expected to start the regular season on the 15-day disabled list no matter the results of the test because there’s simply not enough time for him to get geared up for Opening Day. Of course, if shoulder damage is found, he will be out for more than just the early part of April. Seay, 31, had a 4.25 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP in 48 2/3 innings of relief last season for Detroit.
