Reports: Phillies, Halladay agree to $60 million deal

SI.com’s Jon Heyman is among the sources tweeting that the Phillies and Roy Halladay have agreed to terms on a three-year, $60 million extension with a vesting option for 2014.
That’s the amount everyone has been expecting since last night. There’s little doubt that Halladay left money on the table, but the Phillies knew he would, which was a big motivating factor in talks with the Blue Jays and Mariners. The extension is a condition of the trade, so it’s part of why the deal has yet to be announced. That could come on Wednesday.
