Ricky Nolasco has multiple four-year offers

At least that’s what his agent tells Jeff Passan of Yahoo!. Another source tells Passan that the offers are between $52 million and $60 million. Given that there isn’t a ton of starting pitching on the market, Nolasco is probably going to try to get some longer offers.

Nolasco had an ugly fade at the end of the season, but he was good for the Dodgers after coming over from the Marlins. Specifically: he went 8-3 with a 3.52 ERA and a 75/21 K/BB ratio in 87 innings. For the year he was 13-11, 3.70 ERA, 165/46 K/BB in 199 1/3 IP.

Pretty solid, but also quite possibly Nolasco’s high-water mark.

The Braves got a scare last night after first baseman Freddie Freeman was hit on the left wrist by a Hoby Milner fastball in the bottom of the eighth inning. It was doubly scary given that, less than a year ago, the same wrist was fractured when Aaron Loup plunked him last year, causing Freeman to miss over a month and a half.

Good news, though: the Braves just announced that Freeman’s X-rays are negative and that he’s day-to-day.

On the season, Freeman is batting .288/.468/.492 with two home runs, 12 RBI, and 12 runs scored in 79 plate appearances.
