The Charlotte, N.C. reporter who claimed Robinson Cano tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs last month issued an apology Monday on his twitter feed.

Tordjman deleted the tweets that stated Cano was about to be suspended for 50 games by MLB. According to the New York Daily News, he’s made a contribution to the Robinson Cano Foundation as part of his apology.

Of course, Cano’s agent, Scott Boras, couldn’t resist a chance to chime in: “When journalists and media outlets act unprofessionally and negligently and submit false statements about a fine person and great player, we’re happy that the apology was issued.”
